Regional engagements

Aksyon Klima Pilipinas is a proud member of the following regional civil society networks.

AKP has been a key member of the Asia Climate Change Consortium (ACCC), a regional climate advocacy and learning platform for CSOs in South and Southeast Asia. Formed in 2016, AKP has been responsible for many of the network’s position papers and statements on the climate agenda, while also providing technical expertise in building capacities of its members for grassroots-based advocacy in their respective countries.

AKP is part of the Steering Committee of the Asia Network for People’s Energy (ANPE), which aims to convene CSOs in Southeast Asia to address just energy transition (JET) gaps and challenges at the country level with perspective and purposeful network-building, campaigning, and resource mobilization. AKP’s JET advocacies are aligned with the agenda of the ANPE.

Through its lead Living Laudato Si’ Philippines, AKP is one of the newer members of Climate Action Network Southeast Asia (CANSEA), the regional node of one of the largest global networks for climate advocacy. Moving forward, AKP intends to work with CANSEA as part of its advocacy on addressing loss and damage to position itself as a leader in Southeast Asia on responding to said workstream.
